Form AR-11: Alien's Change of Address Card
Form AR-11 is how a noncitizen in the United States tells U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about a new address.

fenfill is a private company. This page is not run by, affiliated with, or endorsed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. You can get the blank form from USCIS directly. You file it with USCIS yourself and pay any fee directly to them. fenfill never sees what you type.
USCIS also has an online route: Change your address online with a USCIS account.

Who uses Form AR-11
With some exceptions, every noncitizen in the United States must report a change of address to USCIS within 10 days of moving, whether or not they have a case pending. The rule does not apply to A and G visa holders or to visa waiver visitors.
If you have filed an immigration benefit request, pending or decided, USCIS asks you to report the move as soon as possible. VAWA, T and U cases, and Form I-751 abuse waiver cases, follow separate change of address procedures, so do not use the usual route for those.
How and where to send it
USCIS strongly encourages you to change your address online through a USCIS online account instead of sending this card. The online tool updates your address in USCIS case systems almost immediately, as long as you enter the receipt number of each pending request.
If you use the paper form, complete every field marked with an asterisk, sign and date it, and mail it to the address printed in the form's instructions. Do not send other forms or fees to that address.
Changing your address with the U.S. Postal Service does not change it with USCIS, and the Postal Service will not forward mail from USCIS. If you are in immigration proceedings, you must also notify the Immigration Court separately: filing AR-11 with USCIS does not update your address there.
Fees
There is no fee to file Form AR-11. The USCIS Fee Schedule (Form G-1055) lists it at $0.
Deadlines
Report your new address within 10 days of moving. The form warns that failing to report a change of address can be punished by a fine or imprisonment and/or removal from the United States, and can harm your chances of a future visa or immigration benefit.
If you have a pending case, report the move as soon as possible so notices and documents reach you.
Common mistakes
- Assuming the paper card updates your pending cases. It meets the legal duty to report, but it does not update your address in USCIS systems automatically: use the online tool for that.
- Relying on a Postal Service change of address. It does not reach USCIS, and USCIS mail is not forwarded.
- Forgetting the Immigration Court. If you are in proceedings, notify the court separately.
- Giving a PO Box as your present physical address. The form asks for a physical address with no PO Boxes; a separate mailing address is optional.
- Leaving the card unsigned, or skipping fields marked with an asterisk.
- Sending other applications or fees in the same envelope to the AR-11 address.
