Who uses Form MCC

You use form MCC if you are in the UK and have a visa, or have applied for one and are waiting for a decision, and need to tell UKVI about a change: your contact details, your legal representative's details, your dependants' details, separating from your partner, a criminal conviction, or a child no longer living with you. The migrant, a family member or a representative can fill it in.

Some changes go elsewhere. If you have an eVisa, update your name, address, phone number, nationality, facial appearance, date of birth or gender in your UKVI account. If your name or other personal details on a visa change and your stay is longer than 6 months, GOV.UK says you must replace your visa with an eVisa, which has a fee. To add a new dependant, such as a child born in the UK, make a separate application. The form cannot be used to ask UKVI other questions.

How and where to send it

Post the completed form to the UK Visas and Immigration address printed on the first page. GOV.UK removed the online version of the form in June 2026, so the paper form is the route for MCC itself.

If only your address (or your legal representative's address) has changed, you can update it online with the visa address update service on GOV.UK instead.

Attach the evidence the form's guidance asks for: for a name change, a marriage certificate or deed poll; for a new nationality, a new passport or certificate of nationality. A representative filling it in must enclose the letter of authorisation from the migrant.

Fees

Neither the form nor the GOV.UK guidance lists a fee for sending form MCC. Replacing a visa with an eVisa after a change of personal details does have a fee, which GOV.UK sets out on that service's page.

Deadlines

GOV.UK says you must report changes in your circumstances, but it gives no fixed number of days for MCC. For a child who came to the UK as your dependant and no longer lives with you permanently, the form asks you to tell UKVI as soon as possible.

Common mistakes

  • Using MCC for a change your UKVI account handles. If you have an eVisa, update personal details and your address there.
  • Using MCC to add a new dependant, such as a child born in the UK. That needs a separate application.
  • Sending no evidence of a name or nationality change. Include the marriage certificate, deed poll, new passport or certificate of nationality.
  • A representative filing without enclosing the migrant's letter of authorisation.
  • Leaving the declaration unsigned or undated on the last page.
  • Giving a new address without the previous one. The form asks for both, in full, with postcodes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fill in form MCC online?

No. GOV.UK removed the link to the online form in June 2026 and says to use the paper form. A change of address alone can be made online with the visa address update service.

I have an eVisa. Do I still need form MCC?

For your name, address, phone number, nationality, appearance, date of birth or gender, update your UKVI account instead. Changes the account cannot take, such as a criminal conviction, separating from your partner or a child no longer living with you, go on form MCC.

Where do I send the form?

Post it to the UK Visas and Immigration address printed on the first page of the form.

Which version of the form is current?

The PDF on the GOV.UK form MCC page is version 12/18, printed at the top of the first page and in each page footer.
